Welcome to Wonderful Warstones!
Thank you for your interest in our amazing school. We are a large community primary school in Penn, Wolverhampton and are proud to serve a community of diverse social, ethnic, faith and inclusion needs. We aim to work alongside our families and carers to provide a joyful, aspirational and safe environment in which our children can thrive, enjoy learning and growing together. We support all in realising their full potential to become confident ambassadors for our community and wider afield in the future. We strive to be a hub for the community, somewhere that all who walk through our doors feel welcomed, supported and valued. We are here for the whole family and for generations past , present and future.
In September 2019, we opened a new Deaf Resource Base at the school, building on our desire to be an inclusive learning establishment for as many as possible. Children with HI are welcomed and included into the body of the school, working and playing with their peers while still receiving the specialist support they need.
We have a designated 'Families at the Front' room, where we welcome our parents, carers, friends and others in the community to come into school for a growing number of events and organisied workshops to support and help our locality and all who live in it.
We are very proud that Ofsted (June 2022) graded us as OUTSTANDING in Behaviours and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management and Early Years. Our Quality of Education was deemed good as new changes in the curriculum needed to embed, but inspectors felt that once time had allowed for this, it would also be graded outstanding at any subsequent inspection. As this category is a limiting grade, we have an overal judgement as a GOOD School. We are commited to continue to search for improvements and opportunities as a school, to challenge, inspire and develop our children to have the best opportunities possible to learn and grow.

The best way to get to know a school is by visiting! We welcome families interested in a place here to come and look around, meet the staff and experience the ethos and family atmosphere of our inspirational community.
Come and visit - we would love to see you!

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. Leaders have put a range of support in place so pupils with SEND can communicate if they have a worry or a concern. Pupils know how to keep themselves safe in different situations. They know rules are there for a reason and that there can be good and not so good friendships.Ofsted, 2022 Full Report
Leaders, including governors, show an unswerving determination to meet the needs of every child. They go above and beyond in so many areas of school life.Ofsted, 2022 Full Report
'Wonderful Warstones’ sums up this school. All adults and children buy into the school motto that ‘every child matters every day’. Kindness, compassion and concentration are seen and felt throughout the school. Pupils leave school as confident, happy, well-rounded people who are ready for life ahead.Ofsted, 2022 Full Report
Reading trees bend their branches and beckon you through the school corridors into a world of imagination or knowledge. Staff sign stories alongside class books being read aloud. This love of reading begins with the youngest children and grows over time.Ofsted, 2022 Full Report
